I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Hero at Burnham Overy during my holiday in Norfolk. This review is not sponsored, and reflects my genuine experience at the restaurant.
The Hero at Burnham Overy is a prime choice for vegans seeking a satisfying dining experience. Their vegan fish and chips, featuring banana blossom ‘fish,’ was a standout dish, accompanied by perfectly cooked chips and mushy peas. While I forgot to snap a picture, their Instagram and website showcase beautifully presented dishes.
In addition to the stellar vegan fish and chips, the menu includes a tempting vegan burger and various vegan-friendly starters, offering a decent variety for plant-based diners. Priced at £25 to £30 per person, including drinks, the cost falls within the average range for the area.
Despite the restaurant’s popularity, we experienced efficient service without a long wait for our food. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, contributing to a positive dining atmosphere. The comfortable setting allowed us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.
Overall, The Hero at Burnham Overy delivers a solid 10 out of 10 dining experience, excelling in providing a positive and enjoyable meal for vegans and non-vegans alike.
